21.6 Cross Zoning
Caution must be taken when cross zoning devices
toensurethattheCrossZoneTimeislongenough
to allow an intruder to trip both devices before it
expires.ACrossZoneTimethatistooshortmay
allow an intruder to trip the devices and allow
only a zone fault report be sent to the central
station.
WhenaCrossZonedzonetripsaFAULTreport
issenttotheSCS-1RReceiver.WhentwoCross
ZonedzonestripwithintheCrossZoneTime,both
zonessendALARMsignalstothereceiver.For
example,ifzones1and2areCrossZonedzones,
andonlyzone1trips,aFAULTreportissenttothe
receiverforzone1.Ifzone1tripsandzone2trips
withintheCrossZoneTime,anALARMreportis
senttothereceiverforzone1andzone2.
21.7 Events Manager
TheEventsManagerallowsyoutodelaysendingcertainreportstothecentralstationreceiver.Reportscan
be kept in the panel memory until overwritten by new activity or held until the memory buffer reaches
50 events or 50 door access granted events. When the buffer is full, the panel automatically sends the
storedreportstothecentralstationreceiver.BelowisalistofpanelreportsyoucandelayusingtheEvents
Manager option.

Aproledenestheauthorityofeachusercodeinthesystem.ProlesareprogrammedintheKeypadUser
Menu.SeveralcharacteristicsassociatedwitheachUserProledeneitsauthoritywithinthesystem.To
effectivelyprogramanXR100Seriessystem,youmustunderstandtheinterrelationshipbetweenproles,
devices,outputgroups,andareas.BelowisabriefexplanationoftheUserProleelements.Formore
